- The Jaguar Route Planner App, designed for use with vehicles equipped with the next-generation InControl Touch Pro infotainment system, offers comprehensive door-to-door navigation assistance. It enables users to set destinations via smartphone prior to departure, with the app detecting the vehicle's location and providing guidance accordingly.
- Once the user enters the vehicle, the app seamlessly syncs with the in-car navigation system through cloud connectivity, ensuring that navigation is quickly transferred to the vehicle's system for real-time guidance. After completing the journey, control of navigation reverts to the smartphone, which supplies any necessary public transport or pedestrian directions to reach the final destination.
- Additionally, the Route Planner App facilitates trip and holiday planning by allowing users to search for points of interest or restaurants and save preferred locations as favorites. These saved locations are accessible via the in-car navigation system at a later time.
- Note:
- An InControl Navigation Account is required for sign-in, which can be registered through your vehicle’s navigation settings or at jaguar.here.com.
- The availability of specific features depends on market regions as part of the phased deployment of InControl. The app necessitates that your vehicle is equipped with the relevant connectivity package and a Micro SIM card with an appropriate data plan.
- Continued use of GPS in the background may significantly impact device battery life.
